Editor’s note: The first installment of Tonya Nagy’s very funny “Turn your Facebook frown upside down” blog ran in October. Since then, Nagy’s fans have been clamoring for more.

Just this week, Livingstontalk.com started running a single Nagy status update daily in our new “Fun Talk,” which runs in the left column of our front page.

When I was a kid, 30 was old.

And by old, I mean, OLD.

I have an older brother who is 10 years older than me, so I was pretty clear on the concept of "what I get to do in the future." I could stay up late, eat cereal for dinner, and sit as close to the TV as I wanted.

When I joined Facebook last year, my main goal was to keep in touch with my little brother. He was serving his third tour in Iraq, and since phone time was hard to come by, Facebook turned out to be a quick, easy way to touch base almost daily.

Then he got engaged to someone who I'd never met, and I debated (internally, of course) the etiquette of "friending" a complete stranger. Fortunately, that leap of faith introduced me to one of my new best friends.
